Everyone knows that TikTok is hands down one of the best platforms content creators can utilize to reach maximum eyes on their content.
Today we're going to go over how you can take your YouTube Clips and convert them into ready-to-post content for TikTok. Compared to Instagram and YouTube, TikTok uses its own aspect ratio which is not compatible with your stream. Cross Clip helps make it simple to convert your clips so they're ready to go by visiting our website and uploading your video directly, or simply copy and pasting a YouTube clip URL.

Once you upload your clip, you'll be brought to the Cross Clip editor page. Since you'll be uploading to TikTok, remember to select Portrait (TikTok) from the output format dropdown on the right-hand side. Next, you can arrange your content and camera regions, add layers, adjust the clip to your liking, and even preview your clip by toggling off 'Output Borders.' When you're happy with your clip, click 'Compile.'
With a compiled clip in hand, there are two ways to get your converted clips to TikTok:
Option 1
Download the Cross Clip mobile app, available here on iOS and here on Android. Once you launch the app your clips will automatically appear inside the app. From here you can select whichever one you'd like to post, and click the share button at the bottom of the screen.
The app uses your phone's native sharing functionality. Select TikTok, and you'll automatically be brought into the app, with your video uploaded and ready to go.
Option 2
Download and upload it to TikTok directly. After your clip compiles, you will receive an email with links to our apps and a link to download the clip directly. Open that email on your mobile device, download the clip, open TikTok, and upload directly for the world to see.
Once you're on TikTok you can make any final adjustments you'd like inside the app, but with Cross Clip you should be ready to go. Just add a description, a couple hashtags, and publish your clip.
