Integrating VTube Studio or VSeeFace Avatar with Streamlabs Desktop
Thanks to the Spout2 capture source, using VTube Studio and VSeeFace avatars with Streamlabs is simple.
- Launch VTube Studio or VSeeFace and select your avatar. P.S. Check out our guides for setting up avatars in VTuber Studio and VSeeFace if you still need help getting started.
- Make sure that your VTuber software of choice is set up to connect with Spout2. In VTube Studio, head to Settings and click the camera icon. You should scroll down to Spout2 Config and toggle on Activate Spout2 in this window.
To configure VSeeFace for Spout2, go to Settings, then General Settings. Scroll through the window until you come across Spout2 image capture support (which may appear greyed out on your screen). Click the box next to the option to toggle on the feature.
Once you’ve confirmed your VTuber software is configured for Spout2, move to the next step. - Next, Launch Streamlabs Desktop on your computer.
- In Streamlabs, Add Spout2 as a Source by selecting the plus sign (+) in the sources panel, clicking Spout2 Capture, then Add Source.
- Next, name your new source, and then select Add Source.
- After adding your source, the settings window for Spout2 Capture will appear. Here, you can select the Spout Sender (which VTuber software your avatar is coming from).
You can also choose your composite mode, determining how your sources will be blended on screen.
Lastly, you can select the poll time for new senders (how frequently you want the software to scan for new sources). Fine-tune the settings to match your streaming preferences, then select Done.
- Now, your avatar should appear on-screen via your sources. Feel free to adjust your avatar on your streaming canvas and hit go live when you’re ready!

Firstly, congratulations on starting your VTubing journey. Though finding or creating your own avatar may seem like a daunting task, it’s very much possible with the right tools and knowledge. Below are a few resources that can help you snag an avatar of your very own.
My avatar isn’t showing when adding the Spout2 capture source in Streamlabs Desktop. What should I do?
First, you need to confirm that your VTubing software (whether you’re using VseeFace or VTube Studio) is up and running, as well as the Streamlabs Desktop application. If you’re still having trouble spotting your avatar when adding the source, try relaunching Streamlabs Desktop and the VTuber software to refresh the list.
My Vtube avatar is displayed twice on screen (in Spout2 capture and Game capture). What should I do?
Open up Game Capture settings for that specific scene. In the dropdown, switch from Auto Game capture to Specific Window capture. Apps you have open to create and use avatars might be considered as a Game Source, hence auto-captured.
