Streamers can easily browse from hundreds of free overlays and widget themes to customize their live stream and alerts to give it a unique look. Additionally, With Streamlabs Ultra, streamers unlock thousands of animated overlays and widget themes made by professional designers in the industry.
Multistream: Streamlabs Ultra has multistreaming functionality within the plugin, allowing streamers to stream to multiple platforms simultaneously.

How to Setup Streamlabs Tools in OBS Studio
Before we work through the setup, please ensure you have OBS Studio 28.0.0 version or later installed.
- To get started, download the Streamlabs Plugin for OBS.
- Once you have downloaded the plugin package, open the file and follow the installation steps.
3. Once you have installed the Streamlabs Plugin, launch OBS Studio. The first time you launch OBS after downloading the Streamlabs plugin, we will direct you to a sign-in screen: Login & Get Started. If not, select Streamlabs from the top navigation bar of OBS to begin.
Select Log In & Get Started, which will direct you to your browser to log into or create a Streamlabs ID account or connect to your preferred streaming platform. Choose whichever option you like and follow the instructions until we redirect you to the OBS Studio software.
4. After you log in, it’s time to start customizing your live stream in OBS using tools from Streamlabs, starting with your overlay. Choose an overlay that fits your brand and the overall vibe of your live stream. There are thousands to choose from, many of which are free, and some premium options are available to Streamlabs Ultra subscribers only.
Once you’ve chosen your overlay, select Continue.
5. Next, enter your PayPal email address to tell us how you’d like to receive tips. For tipping setup options, please visit your Streamlabs Dashboard to control these settings, which require a few more steps.
Press Continue to move to the next step.
6. Want to control your chat with our cloud-based chatbot, aka Cloudbot? If so, toggle on the function in this window and click Continue.
7. The last step is an option to sign up for Streamlabs Ultra (if you choose to, of course). In case you’re unfamiliar with it, Streamlabs Ultra is a monthly subscription that gives you access to Streamlabs' premium features (such as multistreaming, premium overlays, and much more).
In addition to dozens of premium features, you get access to the premium version of our creator tools, including Podcast Editor, Video Editor, Cross Clip, and Console. 8. Some changes, such as adding an overlay, may require you to restart OBS Studio. If prompted, do so to continue.
9. Once you relaunch OBS Studio, you will see Streamlabs on the top Navigation bar. This will take you to where you can change all settings applied during the initial setup process and enable multistreaming (exclusive to Streamlabs Ultra subscribers).
Speaking of multistreaming, be sure to fully connect your platforms of choice so you can begin widening your reach by streaming to different places simultaneously with the Streamlabs Plugin for OBS (for Streamlabs Ultra subscribers only).
P.S. If you want to stream on TikTok from your Desktop using the Streamlabs Plugin for OBS, please keep in mind that you may be asked to apply for access first. Your stream will appear horizontally (not vertically). Lastly, your chat and TikTok LIVE studio will still pop up in a separate window on your computer.

The Streamlabs Plugin is free to download and use. Certain features, such as Multistream and animated overlays and widget themes made by professional designers, are part of our Streamlabs Ultra subscription. However, hundreds of free overlays are also available in our library.
