Any live streamer knows that awkward silence on stream can be quite uncomfortable for both the creator and their audience. No matter if you're just starting out or have hundreds or thousands of viewers, adding music to your live stream is a great way to add a buffer and elevate the vibes on your stream.
As a kind reminder, please make sure you use royalty-free music to avoid DMCA violations or Copyright laws when streaming on Twitch and other platforms. You can learn more about the legislation on the official page here.
How to Add Background Music in Talk Studio:
Are you using Talk Studio to live stream from your browser? If so, below are the steps for adding background music to your stream.
Step 1: From your Talk Studio editor, click the Share button then Background Audio.
Step 2: Confirm that you've read and agree to the pop-up regarding proper usage for music. Then select one or multiple tracks from your device's library and click Open.
If you wish to use multiple tracks, you must highlight them in a group in order for a queue to be created. If you select one track, then go back to select another, the latter will replace the original track.
Step 3: You'll see your music player on the left of your Talk Studio window.
The music control panel gives you options to:
- Play and pause a song
- Control volume level
- If you selected multiple tracks, click Queue to see your tracklist and go to the previous or next track
Whether you're gaming, chatting, or just vibing with your audience, background music can make a world of difference. Just be sure to stick to royalty-free tracks to keep things safe and compliant. Ready to upgrade your stream's soundtrack? Start curating your perfect playlist today.
