PAINTING FOR CHARITY
Painting for charity is practiced by many miniature painters in the D&D community. Loot Die Repeat (LDR) hosted their first fundraiser for PTSD recovery in late 2020 and was overwhelmed by the generous response of the community. This organization was chosen as the first because LDR member, Prince, paints to help with his PTSD recovery. After the immense success of their first fundraiser, LDR is at it again and has chosen CCM on their second fundraising journey featuring the dynamic miniature statue Tenjin Created by Blackforge Games. In January 2022 the MHCPs launched a new charity campaign to raise 4000 dollars throughout the year raising 1000 dollars for each organization with Blackforge games as their major sponsor. During their launching event they raised 1549 dollars for The Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand, 1010 dollars for Headstrong, 1000 dollars for CCM and 2070 AFSP!

Punexpected_Painting rediscovered the painting hobby in 2017 after more than a 10 year hiatus thanks to coming across Twitch and the many wonderful painters out there. When he began he started using acrylics but in 2020 tried using oils to paint his minis. Now he uses oil paints exclusively and spreads the love of oils across Twitch, encouraging other painters out there to try something new. Painting is his happy place.
